Searcher Baja Whale Tour #1 – February 4 – 15, 2026, Days 9 & 10
Thursday, 2/12/26, we started at Punta Colorado on Isla San Jose. We had some great bioluminescence before the sun came up and watched the sunrise at the big red bluff at Punta Colorado. We did a mid-morning tour around Los Animas to check out the fur seals. Then in the afternoon, we came across a large group of 100+ pilot whales. They stayed around the boat for 2 hours. A few miles away we encountered a pair of sperm whales, which gave us some close looks. We even had a Bryde’s whale close to the boat. We ended with dinner and a swim at Tombobiche in the evening.
